Balachander P is seen here pitching his Coimbatore-based Startup – SuperKitchen – that aims to build innovative gadgets for the kitchen that combine tradition with ease-of-use and positively impact the lives of the Indian housewife.
Balachander comes from a family that makes traditional grinders and he has used all his experience and learnings at the family business, to build an electrical dry-grinder. He aims to bring the flourmill to every Indian kitchen! The dry-grinder can powder rice, gram, dry chilli – anything that you would normally take to a traditional flourmill.
He hopes that his grinder will relieve the lives of many people who are seen carrying heavy bags to the nearby flourmill, standing in long queues and spending many hours getting everyday food ingredients ground. Besides, adulteration is also a common practice. SuperKitchen is attempting to change this ritual by bring the flourmill to the kitchens
