“Customers can conveniently transact with the stores through a marketplace mobile App by simply leaving a voice, image or text message. The stores would process and deliver the orders to the customers,” says Roji. “Further, the stores can manage their entire in-store operations and also manage their online customers in one single solution.”
The startup idea originated one afternoon in April 2015 when Roji, founder of PaasMey visited a nearby grocery supermarket in Bengaluru. He noticed a shop agent receiving a phone order who promptly scribbled the order items in a book. He further noticed that the shop agent was managing order delivery through hand-written paper. The POS solution used by the supermarket was not user friendly.
Low margins in Grocery, were a deterrent for the kirana stores and smaller supermarkets to invest in expensive technology. With the thriving e-commerce companies and the advanced technology used by them, Roji was quick to figure out the opportunity in this under-served market. This was the beginning of PaasMey (which means ‘Near’ in Hindi) with the sole purpose of eliminating paper work and providing affordable technology to the stores so they could serve their nearby customers.
PaasMey is developed by a team of three members – Roji Philip, Joel C.G. & Benson P.S. PaasMey is a product of OWeSee Cloud Communications Pvt. Ltd.
