SINA Mobility’s inception was triggered by two accidents – one where a close friend of Rishabh was badly injured in a bike accident and the other where his father broke his arm through a scooter fall.
SINA Mobility was founded in April 2017 and is incubated at IIT Madras Incubation cell. It was previously incubated at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore. “We have 2 IPR under the company name and 3rd is in the process,” says Rishab the other founder. “The 1 patent filed covers all the self balancing technology using mechanical gyroscope, so any company on the planet who wants to do business in India and would want the self-balancing tech for their motorcycle, they have to approach us. We are the third startup in the world working on commercializing two wheeled cars.”
California-based LIT Motors is one of them.
