“To balance the forces in the world, there is always an x and an anti x. We started with an economy that was all about cash and then a point came when there was too much of it so to balance the same came the cashless system. We have today the healthy food industry that is in a way balancing the fast food industry. Similarly, in a world where people are buying continuously, there are multiple platforms that are all about selling. There has to be a way to balance it and that is why “in a world full of Amazons, I created an anti-amazon company”,” says Anushka.
Anushka explains that she started her journey with just one NGO partner by doing the initial 150 pickups herself to understand the nuances of the business and has scaled to support 100+ NGOs in 8 cities, with more than 40 corporate partners and has partnered with some of the leading Ecommerce companies, FMCG brands, hospital chains for cause marketing initiatives. She reports that she has been awarded the Manthan Award (Business & eCommerce) and Digital Women Award (Ecommerce) for her work at SADS.
