What does the startup do, for who, how?
We are like Shopify but focused only on knowledge commerce. EdisonOS provides a branded infrastructure for edupreneurs to launch and grow their online knowledge business. It is an all-in-one platform with all necessary tools to create a website, build online courses, host live classes, grow a community, manage leads, automate marketing, collect payments, and manage operations.
What problem has the startup set out to solve?
Today, The foremost daunting challenge to launching an online knowledge business is the technology stack. Either you have to build one from scratch or to stitch multiple SaaS tools to build the technology stack. For instance, use WordPress or web flow for the website, use Moodle or other LMS for organizing the content and users, use Hubspot for the CRM, conduct live classes using Zoom or Google Meet ….the list is huge. It doesn’t stop there. All these tools need to be stitched together using Zapier or other integrations to function as one system. The former approach is expensive, time-consuming ….and engineering is not everyone’s expertise. The latter is expensive, has poor user experience and is daunting.

EdisonOS provides all the necessary tools required to launch your own knowledge business in your custom domain name with your logo and branding elements. In short, you can launch your online edtech app or website in under 30 seconds.
What propelled you to startup – why this idea?
Being in the edtech consulting space for 5 years, we were setting up technology stacks for other companies and we faced a lot of challenges as there were no complete solutions available in the market. This led to a lot of CAPEX and OPEX for our edtech clients as they were building technology stacks from scratch and maintaining them.

All three of us met when working with Bridgei2i Analytics Solutions and together started TeachEdison in 2016…an Edtech consulting firm and later in 2020 pivoted to launch EdisonOS as a SaaS Product. Our 5 years of Edtech consulting experience especially by building technology stacks and eLearning content helped us in addressing the pressing problem in this domain with our product – EdisonOS.
