Connecting Ideas With Money – Jyothi Vijay – AKSelerator

At the Connecting Ideas With Money held on 25th March, 2022 founder Jyothi Vijay, pitched AKSelerator a Education/HR career venture based in Bengaluru. AKSelerator targets academic degree graduates, who form a large portion at the bottom of the pyramid (BoP, currently 1.5m+ annually).

“The concept has been tested. We bootstrapped to soft launch it during mid-Oct 2021. We are in a early-stage, generating small revenues of Rs. 2lakhs/month from paying customers,” says Jyothi. “We are solving the problem of their underemployment and their under-preparedness to access high quality entry-level non-engineering job profiles.”

THe AKSelerator program, engages the BoP graduates for 6 full months (860 hours) through an intensive, immersive, contextual, deep learning process – training. At the end of the 6th month, they are then placed in jobs at a minimum of 4x of the fee paid. The students are trained at AKSelerator by a teacher (called AKSelerator) who
is responsible for the learning outcomes of 15 students. The startup uses a hybrid model of Central Live-Streamed Functional Topic Sessions (CLS-FTS) alternated with the offline ‘Do’ sessions (ODS) across multiple AKSelerator centers and learning rooms.

AKSelerator is addressing the gap for “high-quality quick learning (HQ2L) solutions” addressing the needs of BoP graduates.

“Our journey from the most regulated system to the most agile learning system involved constant evolution. We navigated from heart-breaking challenges to heart-warming results,” says Jyothi.
