At the Connecting Ideas With Money, Lounge47 session, held on the 4th of May 2022, founder Sonal Gupta pitched Delhi-based Blue Helmet – that provides an easy-to-use marketplace that connects gig, blue and grey collar jobseekers to local employers both domestic and corporate. The startup has some initial revenues.
“Availability of verified and experienced jobseekers in the blue and grey collar work segment is highly unregulated and unorganized. This is primarily due to the gap between the availability of streamlined jobseeker information and clearly defined job requirements. Somebody needs to identify them, organize them, connect them and
finally make them available for the right job, at the right place and to the right people. We are trying to overcome this barrier by bringing available tools and technologies on a single platform to connect employers and jobseekers,” says Sonal.
The startup has developed a mobile and web App and is currently working on adding regional language support. The pandemic and the pressures it put on this group of workers and employers coupled with the size and potential of market, encouraged this founding team to startup.

“We incorporated the company in September 2020 in the midst of the pandemic … we had a strong belief that we can make this venture successful. During the beginning of 2021 we raised our first angel round and we did a trial with around 100 users during Jul-Sep 2021. After that we created our own team and took around 6 months to launch both Mobile and Web App in April 2022.
