At the Connecting Ideas With Money, Lounge47 session held on the 4th of May 2022, founder Alexandra Monmar pitched Russia-based UMA.LINK – a startup from the Adtech/Martech/Creator Economy. UMA.LINK is a virtual showcase with AI for influencers.
“We help influencers & content creators monetize their content on social networks with affiliate links,” says Alexandra. “Most influencers don’t have a queue of advertisers. They have to sell discounts and promo codes or advertise what they don’t like and don’t want to advertise.”
UMA helps influencers with a convenient tool – virtual showcase – to recommend what they like to their followers and get revenue on the purchases, without any self negotiations with brands and content reconciliation.

The startup is riding the well recognized trend that people these days tend to buy more via influencers than via advertisement. The startups believes this is 75% more and that the Indian influencer market has grown more than 3 times in the last 3 years.
The startup is at the post revenue stage and reports that it has a 1000 influencers, 108 advertisers and an audience of 11m. In 2019 the startup went through a pivot and got to the drawing board to examine their hypothesis, in 2020 they completed their MVP and first sales, in 2021 they received a grant for $200K as well as a pre-seed investment of $100K. In 2022 they are looking to launch their product in the Indian market.
