At the Connecting Ideas With Money Lounge47 session, that took place on the 16th of September 2022, founder Namay Kedia pitched Crater – that provides the financial infrastructure for creators, freelancers and solo entrepreneurs. The startup operates in the fintech vertical and is seeking seed funding.

“The whole generation of creators and freelancers are experiencing difficult business problems like getting paid, managing cash flows and growing their business. We’re looking to automate the entire business aspect so they can focus on creating content that we all love. This includes invoicing, early pay, banking, expense management, revenue management, automation of taxes and insurance for digital assets,” says Namay.
Namay’s family and friends are creators and freelancers and he has experienced their struggles close up. Having watched the problems they faced, the founders decided to dive deeper and understand the problems. The founders spoke to 150+ creators and freelancers through their network and figured that small and medium creators
and freelancers are running their business in an unorganized way and are spending 60+ hours monthly managing their business (this includes chasing clients for money, tax filing, going on several platforms to manage to check stats) which can be otherwise used to create better content and make more money.
