At the Connecting Ideas With Money session on the 12th of November, 2022 founder Indranil Datta pitched Gurgaon-based agritech startup Seed Savers Club. The startup is at the pre-seed stage.

The startup is working on a farmer influencer platform focused on non traditional value chains.
“End-to-end linkages are broken for farmers who are trying to find success in non-traditional crops. This makes it very difficult for farmers to successfully move into non-traditional crops as a farming practice,” says Indranil. “We enable discovery of expert farmers in minutes for various linkages such as inputs, training and markets.”
Indranil found challenges on his personal journey to becoming a farmer and in trying to find success in non- traditional crops such as mushrooms, spices, honey and medicinal crops. This is an activity he undertook during the Covid19 lockdown when he wanted to put agricultural land he owned to use. While there was much information available on the usual crops like wheat and rice, he faced many challenges in finding out where to start when it came to non-traditional crops. This set him down the path of building a startup that would solve these challenges for farmers like him.
