At the Connecting Ideas With Money session held on the 22nd of December, 2022 founder Cyrus Benjamin pitched Workarea – an online custom and on demand manufacturing platform startup from Bangalore.

“We provide multiple manufacturing services such as 3D printing, vacuum casting, injection moulding, machining, fabrication….. We combine more than 30 manufacturing technologies under a single umbrella. Customers can come to the website and raise a manufacturing request for which a quick quotation will be sent. Once the customer places the order against the quote we deliver the product with the required quality with minimum lead-time,” says Cyrus.
The Idea started when Cyrus was working in sourcing parts for an automobile company and noticed that a lot of sourcing happens offline very inefficiently. He wanted to introduce technology and make it more efficient.

Workarea has a team of two.
Cyrus Benjamin and cofounder Sharath G. Both are engineers from VTU and have studied together from KG to 10th Grade.
They started their journey in mid-2021. Sharath has experience running a micro industry in the manufacturing sector and Cyrus had faced this issue as a customer. They decided to join forces and solve this problem.
They met 350 MSME’s in and around Bangalore, 100+ potential clients and recognized that the problem was real. They understood the gap and started to build the solution. Operations resumed in early 2022.
