At the Connecting Ideas With Money session that took place on the 11th of April, 2023 founder Viraj Dahane pitched Bhopal-based Ochaiwala – a tea/coffee and snacks chain especially set to improve the Indian Railways food experience.
“Our Mission is to create a network of 50,000 hi-tech Chaiwalas in the next five years for the Indian Railways Network,” says Viraj. “We’re having gadget equipped salespersons/vendors to eliminate the indian Railways biggest problem in food segment……..overcharging.”
The startup monitors quality of service using body cameras on each salesperson. They have also innovated on the beverage container/smart flask and installed 15 inbuilt quality controlled sensors to maintain the quality of the products. Also the customer can access the kitchens through camera by simply scanning the barcode on the cups.
The startup has two founders – Viraj Dahane and Vikrant Mankar.
