At the “Connecting Ideas With Money” session held on the 18th of May at 4:30 PM, founder Mr. Harman Singh Sachdeva pitched his startup, Doctors Plaza.
Doctors Plaza is a startup based out of New Delhi, providing hassle-free medical coworking chambers to doctors. By leveraging technology, it mobilizes patients and automates the day-to-day operations of running a clinic. Starting a private clinic in India is a tedious and time-consuming process, filled with stress related to housekeeping, staff management, operations, and logistics. Doctors Plaza offers convenience to doctors seeking private practice space in densely populated neighborhoods.
Doctors Plaza boasts 8 active clinics and serves over 50 doctors monthly. Collectively, they treat 3,000 patients per month, providing a one-stop solution that includes medicines and pathology services under one roof, reducing the number of touchpoints in a patient’s journey. This setup allows private practitioners at Doctors Plaza to offer more professional services to their patients.
The idea for Doctors Plaza came to a then 19-year-old Harman Singh Sachdeva when he observed a renowned podiatrist handling appointments and clinic operations himself due to absent staff. Driven by the mission to address this issue on a larger scale, Sachdeva started building Doctors Plaza while pursuing his undergraduate degree in B.A. Hons (Economics) at Delhi University, Batch of 2023.
One of the key insights for Doctors Plaza was to avoid building their own clinics. Instead, they utilize under-optimized clinics with empty, unused cabins, hosting nearby practitioners and enabling them to start practicing. This approach makes their model asset-light and network-heavy.
