Founder Siddharth Darbha seen pitching early-stage startup Wagr – that manufactures and markets a smart dog wearable and a mobile App that helps keep dogs safe and fit. It tackles the two primary concerns of dog parents – safety and health of their pet. Wagr aims to be the first ecosystem that fulfills all of a dog parent’s needs.
“We aim to be the first 4G pet wearable in the world capable of providing up to 1 month of battery life, and the first location and fitness wearable for pets in India,” says Siddharth.

The device attaches to any dog collar that in combination with the Wagr App helps dog parents track the location and fitness of their dog. Users can build Safe Zones with the App, that send alerts to the whole family should the dog leave the safe zone. It helps locate the lost pet and track a dog’s activities (resting, walking, playing, etc.) so dog parents know what their pet is upto at any given point of time, in real time.
With seed investment raised and a pre-order campaign completed, Wagr is set to start shipping soon.
The three founders grew up with dogs and currently live with Jambi, an adopted indie who inspired Wagr. Ajith, who handles technology & product development at Wagr designed embedded systems for Apple, Amazon and Samsung devices at Broadcom. Advaith, who handles Marketing & Analytics, builds on his background in Digitalmarketing and Analytics at Flipkart. Siddharth, who helped set up the Bangalore chapter of NGO, ‘Becoming I Foundation’ and was a BI consultant, handles Business and Strategy.
