On the supply side Ayurooms partners with premium and luxury resorts on curation of their services and facilities. On the demand side, it caters to Europeans, North Americans and other potential patrons of India’s wellness services.
Ayurooms makes it easy for wellness seeking tourists to evaluate the offers available and make a choice. It does this by identifying and promoting India’s best wellness resorts, simplifying the booking process, and curating and managing the clients’ experience. Ayurooms has 12 partner resorts – 11 in South India and 1 in Gujarat.
Founders Anusha Sachdeva and Alykhan Alidina started Ayurooms in mid 2016.
Anusha was born and raised in Mumbai. She holds a BA in Business and
Marketing from De Montfort University, UK and an Event Management Diploma from the EDMI Institute, Mumbai. She formerly worked for Zumba Fitness as its Community Representative for South Asia. She then cofounded Epicurus Entertainment, an event management company, and The Hive, a coworkingspace in Mumbai. As a freelance wellness consultant, she worked for brands such as Colgate Palmolive, Cadbury, Morgan Stanley, Accenture, Disney, Network18 and Courtyard Marriott (Pune).
Alykhan Alidina was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. He holds an Honours BA from the Ivey Business School (Canada) and a MBA from the Vlerick Business School (Belgium). He has 12+ years of International Development experience, having worked for regional and global institutions headed by His Highness The Aga Khan. He subsequently joined his family’s real estate business for two years. He then briefly worked for YourStory as a copyeditor, a stint that inspired him to start Ayurooms.
