The Startup has been operating for about 4 years and details that they have 1000 properties on their network. Funstay originated from the passion of two of the founders, Nitin and Mahim who are avid travellers. They both believe that, the best way to experience a destination is to live amongst locals. Knowing about their culture, their ways of living and their life gives one an authentic experience. During their travels they lived with locals in their homes, stayed in village huts and in cottages between vast coffee plantations.
While sharing their experiences with friends, they were faced with this one question almost constantly – ‘How do I find such stays and experiences?’ This question inspired them to start the Funstay portal.
