Founder Saumya Ranjan Rout pitching Startup Verge Motors – that is enabling mass market two-wheeler EV adoption, by leveraging the existing vehicle fleet and creating products to provide a superior experience to riders. The EcoMax kit converts any petrol scooter into a smart parallel hybrid – that can run on both petrol and electricity. It is a proprietary bolt-on kit that can be deployed in just two hours, without any major structural changes in the scooter.
“From the various interviews and customer interactions, we determined that we needed to create a product that solves the dire need of the user – more fuel economy in a scooter. We also noticed that the electric vehicle owners complained about range and charging time. Our product not only addresses these major problems but also incorporates various IoT and AI features that our target customers would want,” says Saumya.
